Our divemaster to guest ratio (6:1) is smaller than many other dive centers to ensure the safety of our guests as currents can be very strong. Not all dive sites are recommended for divers without advanced training. We recommend you peruse our dive sites page for more information.
Cozumel Scuba Dive Packages Options
- 2 day – 2 tank boat dive – $215
- 3 day – 2 tank boat dive – $321
- 4 day – 2 tank boat dive – $420
- 5 day – 2 tank boat dive – $510
- Scuba Tuneup – $5 (This is a quick refresher dive on our house reef for anyone who has not dived in a while.)
Please Note:
- Scuba Gear Rental is an extra $20 per day.
- Wetsuit rental is $10 per day.
- Cozumel Marine Park fee is 217.32 MXN per day. This is paid daily and you will receive your marine park bracelet from our dive center staff. This bracelet is required for diving in the Marine Park.

Note:
- Bring a reusable water bottle or use one of our cups on board. We do not serve bottled water as we are a Green Fins Dive Center.
- We recommend you purchase DAN Dive Insurance before coming.
- We do not provide towels.
Important Information for all scuba divers!
- Certified divers must present a valid certification “C” card to participate. Tank and weights are included for all divers, wetsuit is not included. Guests who have concerns should consult with their personal physician before engaging in any activity that may be strenuous for them.
- Please consult our medical waiver for specific questions regarding health restrictions. If a “yes” answer is required for any question you must have a written letter from a medical physician authorizing you to participate in a diving activity. Sand Dollar Sports reserves the right on any final decision regarding your ability to dive. Click here to download waiver.
- All sunscreens are prohibited at our location and rash guards are strongly recommended.
- Price does not include “Cozumel Marine Park” fee. All national park fees were increased to 217.32 MXN on January 1, 2025. You will be asked to pay in USD in cash at the current exchange rate.
Our Dive Boats
At Sand Dollar Sports, your safety is our top priority. All of our boats are fully equipped with essential safety gear to ensure a secure and worry-free experience on the water. Each vessel carries oxygen, a comprehensive first aid kit, life jackets for every passenger, fire extinguishers, and a VHF radio for reliable communication. Our crew is trained in emergency response protocols, so you can relax and enjoy your dive or snorkel trip knowing you’re in capable hands.
Visitor Regulations while in the park:
1. Keep a distance of 1.5 meters from the reefs.
2. Do not feed the marine life.
3. Only hire boats and guides authorized by CONANP. If unsure, ask them for their permit number.
4. Anchoring is prohibited.
5. Do not touch the reefs.
6. Do not use sunscreen. Any type of sunscreen is prohibited to protect the corals.
7. Do not disturb marine life.
8. Do not fish.
9. Do not use gloves, knives or rods.
Frequently Asked Questions about Cozumel Dive Packages
What's included in a dive package?
All our dive packages include boat dives with a certified guide, tanks, weights, and purified drinking water. We recommend you bring a reusable water bottle and a towel for personal use.
How many dives can I do in a day?
Our dive packages 2 dives a day, usually done in the morning unless arranged otherwise. If you wish to do afternoon dives, that can also be arranged. Extra dives will be charged at full price.
Can I bring my own dive gear?
Absolutely! Many divers bring their own equipment. If you prefer to travel light, high-quality rental gear is available for an additional fee.
Do you offer nitrox?
Yes, Nitrox is available upon request for certified divers. Let us know in advance so we can have it ready for you. Nitrox is $10 per tank.
Do you require dive insurance?
We highly recommend dive insurance for your safety and peace of mind. While it’s not mandatory, it’s strongly encouraged, especially for multi-day dive packages. You can purchase here from DAN.
