Airlines like American, United, Delta, Air Canada, and Southwest often operate nonstop flights from cities such as Houston, Dallas, Miami, Toronto, and Chicago.
From Cancún or Playa del Carmen
- If you can’t find a direct flight to Cozumel, fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN). From there, take the ADO bus (very inexpensive and comfortable) or private shuttle to Playa del Carmen (about 45–60 minutes) (quite expensive). Once in Playa del Carmen, board the passenger ferry to Cozumel—crossings take about 45 minutes and run multiple times daily. There are 2 ferry companies. We recommend Ultramar Ferry.
- Ferry tickets are inexpensive, and you’ll enjoy scenic views of the turquoise Caribbean as you travel to the island.
