Guest Blogger Review of Diving in Cozumel

Guest Blog by Lorie Za, Diving Escapades

We were thrilled to welcome Lorie Za, the voice behind Diving Escapades, for a day of diving and discovery in Cozumel. Based in Luxembourg and originally certified in Australia in 2013, Lorie has explored dive sites across the globe—from the Philippines to Central America—bringing with her a wealth of experience and a contagious passion for the ocean.

Lorie chose to dive with us not only to witness the beauty of Cozumel’s reefs for the first time, but also to learn more about our ongoing sustainability and marine conservation efforts. As someone deeply committed to ocean protection, Lorie’s values aligned perfectly with ours, and we knew from the start it would be an inspiring day underwater.

"Simply put, sustainable diving is about immersing yourself in the beauty of the ocean while leaving no trace behind." Lorie Za, Diving Esapades

During her visit, Lorie joined us for two boat dives in the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park—one at San Clemente Reef and one at Paradise Reef, where she experienced the vibrant marine life and drift diving conditions that make Cozumel famous. But Lorie’s visit wasn’t just about the diving. As an advocate for sustainable travel and ocean conservation, she also took time to learn about our reef restoration efforts and long-term sustainability practices.

“Diving with Sand Dollar Sports gave me more than just a look at Cozumel’s underwater world—it gave me hope for its future.”
